FAQs
Can a player communicate with College Coaches at Golf Camps before the June 15 deadline?
Yes. Golf Camps provide the only permissible opportunity for junior golfers and their families to have direct communication with College Coaches before June 15 following a player’s sophomore year of high school. At camp, players can ask questions, receive feedback, and learn about College Programs in a way that isn’t allowed through other recruiting channels before the deadline. Additionally, Golf Camps are the only setting where players can receive direct instruction from College Coaches throughout the entire recruiting process.
Is CGX a good fit for my ability level?
Yes! CGX camps are designed for junior golfers at all stages of development. Whether you’re just beginning to explore college golf or already competing at a high level, our camps provide a unique opportunity to learn from and engage with College Coaches. You’ll receive valuable feedback, skill development, and insights that can help you evaluate your game and take the next step in your journey. No matter your ability level, a CGX camp can provide the experience and guidance you need.
How should I pick my Prospect Camp?
Prospect Camps are ideal for junior golfers and parents looking to explore Colleges and Programs at every level. When selecting a camp, consider your goals:
• If you have a specific College or Program in mind, attending their Prospect Camp gives you the opportunity to meet the College Coaches, learn about their program, and showcase your game.
• If there’s a Prospect Camp in your area, it’s a great way to gain exposure, receive direct coaching, and understand what different College Programs look for in players.
• If you’re still exploring options, attending multiple Prospect Camps can help you compare coaching styles, campus cultures, and program expectations.
No matter which Prospect Camp you choose, you’ll walk away with valuable insights and firsthand experience that can help you in your college golf journey.
Are parents allowed to attend Prospect Camps?
Yes! Parents are encouraged to attend all sessions, as there will be valuable opportunities to listen, learn, and ask College Coaches questions. This can provide great insight into the college golf experience and recruiting process. The only time we ask parents to step aside is during skill instruction and on-course competition, allowing players to fully engage with the College Coaches and experience the camp as a prospective student-athlete.
What is the cost of a Prospect Camp?
CGX Prospect Camps start at $300 per player. Pricing varies by location and camp format.
Is there a payment plan available?
Yes. CGX offers a payment plan to make camp registration accessible for all families. A 50% deposit is due at registration, with the remaining balance automatically charged one month before your camp date.
Is purchase protection available?
Yes. At registration you’ll have the option to add Purchase Protection for a small fee (based on camp price). Purchase Protection provides a 100% refund of your registration should you be prevented from attending due to a qualifying unforeseen circumstance — including severe illness or injury, COVID-19, hospitalization, death in family, transportation failure, acts of nature, employment obligations, crime and home emergency, and legal obligations. Purchase Protection is offered through Purchase Protection LLC. Full terms and exclusions apply.
What is the cancellation policy if I don't add Purchase Protection?
CGX offers camp credits to families who need to cancel, giving you flexibility to attend a future event. Please note that credits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
14 or more days before camp: 50% credit of the full camp price
4–13 days before camp: 25% credit of the full camp price
Within 3 days of camp: No credit — tuition is forfeited.
