Rich Mueller | Men's Head Coach | Columbia
Rich Mueller took the helm of Columbia’s golf program in August 2005. While also serving as Director of Golf, Mueller has shaped the Columbia golf program into a perennial Ivy League power.
In his 14 years as Director of Golf at Columbia, he has led the Lions to five Ivy League team championships (four on the men’s side, one in women’s), three individual Ivy League champions or Ivy League Player of the Year award-winners, five NCAA postseason team appearances and tutored 27 All-Ivy League golfers.
Matt Baughan | Men's Head Coach | Cornell
Matt Baughan has completed 20 seasons as the head men’s golf coach at Cornell and the head golf professional at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. Under his direction, the Big Red tied a program record with a second-place finish at the 2017 Ivy League Championships while winning individual medalist honors for a second straight year.
Baughan helped guide Mike Graboyes ’18 to a wire-to-wire individual victory, just one year after Luke Graboyes ’17 win in 2016. It marked the first time the Big Red has had consecutive individual winners at the event, and the first single medalist since 1986. As a team, Cornell finished a program-best second for a third time, with two of those occasions coming under Baughan’s direction (the other was in 2005). Mike Graboyes is Cornell’s first three-time All-Ivy League honoree, and six of the program’s 10 first-teamers have come in Baughan’s tenure.
As head golf pro at Cornell, Baughan is responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the Robert Trent Jones Course, overseeing the physical education program for golf and running the varsity team.
Rich Parker | Men's Head Coach | Dartmouth
In October 2005, Rich Parker was promoted to head coach of the Dartmouth men’s golf team after serving as interim coach during the 2005 fall season. Parker is a former tour pro and is currently the general manager at Carter Golf Club in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Parker’s players have earned a total of 15 All-Ivy honors during his stint — seven on fhe first team and eight more on the second team — including Peter Williamson ’12 who won three individual titles and made the first team all four years. Three times his squad has finished as high as second at the Ivy League Championship, and twice in the past four completed seasons.
Jason Calhoun | Men's Head Coach | Penn
A PGA professional with more than two decades of experience in the golf industry and as a college coach, Jason Calhoun was hired in June 2017 as Penn’s head men’s golf coach and has completed three years with the Quakers.
Calhoun’s first season overseeing the program was highlighted at Colgate’s Alex Lagowitz Memorial, where Josh Goldenberg took medalist honors. Penn took third out of 15 teams at that event, also finishing second out of 12 at Princeton in the spring and third at the City Six Shootout to close out the fall portion of the 2017-18 campaign. The Quakers had a pair of top-three finished in the spring of 2019, taking second out of 13 teams at the Princeton Invitational and following that up a week later with third out of 11 teams at the Yale Spring Intercollegiate. The truncated 2019-20 season, in which the spring season was canceled due to the national Covid-19 outbreak, saw Penn earn a third-place finish at the fall-opening Ryan T. Lee Memorial Intercollegiate.
Will Green | Men's Head Coach | Princeton
Will Green is in his 23rd year as J. Stuart Francis ’74 Head Coach of Men’s Golf in 2021-22. He has led the Tigers to eight Ivy titles and eight NCAA appearances, including one individual NCAA bid.
Hired in the summer of 1999 to be the men’s assistant, Green took over for Richard Hunt for the spring 2000 semester and immediately paid dividends.
Green’s first Ivy title in 2000 was the program’s first since 1995. He has since led the Tigers to Ivy crowns in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2013 and 2019, giving the program 30 league titles all-time. During his tenure, Green has coached 34 All-Ivy League honorees through the 2018 season.
Dan Rodgers | Men's & Women's Head Coach | Carnegie Mellon
Dan Rodgers joined the men’s golf program as assistant coach in 2014-15 before being named head coach for the 2016-17 season. Rodgers also serves as the head coach of the women’s golf team which competed in its first year of varsity collegiate competition in 2014-15.
Rodgers had the Tartans poised for long-term success in 2020 after guiding them to four major tournament wins and a number one ranking nationally, the first time a women’s athletic program has reached the top ranking in university history. At the end of the season Rodgers was honored as the Division III Coach of the Year by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.
John Sjoberg | Men's Head Coach | Emory
John Sjoberg was named Emory University’s head golf coach coach following the conclusion of the 2011 season. He took over for Mike Phillips who announced his retirement after 28 years as the head man of the Eagles’ program.
Even though the team’s 2019-20 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic that shut down all NCAA Sports in mid-March, Sjoberg saw his squad record a number of impressive accomplishments. The Eagles registered top-five finishes in all five of their tournaments including first-place honors during at the DIII Fall Preview (18-team field) and the O’Briant-Jensen Memorial (22-team field).
Dan Wesley | Men's Head Coach | Rochester
Head Coach Dan Wesley returned to his alma mater in 2007 to take over the Yellowjacket golf program.
Having completed his 13th season as head coach in 2019-20, Wesley has guided the ‘Jackets to 17 tournament victories, 27 runner-ups, and 68 top three finishes in 115 events.
Last season, Rochester had a trio of All-Region selections from the GCAA, with Jack Mulligan, Brendan Frain and Declan Hickton earning the honor. The Yellowjackets as a team had three top-3 finishes in tournaments and carded a low team round of 288 at the Savannah Invitational, fourth best in Rochester history for a single-round. Rochester also averaged a school record 300.64 score per round as a team.
