ERIKA DESANTY | WOMEN'S HEAD COACH | PRINCETON

Erika DeSanty, who is in her eighth year as Princeton’s head women’s golf coach in 2021-22, was named the head coach of the Princeton women’s golf program on July 18, 2014.

DeSanty’s fourth season of 2018 saw her lead the team to its second straight NCAA Regional after winning back-to-back Ivy League titles, making it the first time since 2004 and 2005 that Princeton won consecutive league championships and had consecutive postseason bids.

In her third season in 2017, which saw DeSanty earn Ivy League Coach of the Year honors, DeSanty guided the Tigers to the program’s first Ivy League championship in 12 years, its first NCAA team tournament bid in 12 years, and an individual NCAA Championships bid for then-freshman Maya Walton, the third such bid in program history and first since 2013.

“Erika is a dynamic, innovative leader with a firm commitment to building team and to developing student-athletes on and off the golf course,” Mollie Marcoux Samaan ’91, Princeton’s Ford Family Director of Athletics, said of DeSanty upon the coach’s hiring. “She has an impressive track record of success and we are confident that she will lead our women’s golf team to great success.”

AMY WEEKS | WOMEN’S HEAD COACH | COLUMBIA

With over 25 combined years as both an NCAA Division I collegiate golf coach, NCAA Division I athletics administrator and standout collegiate golfer, Amy Weeks begins her eighth year as head coach of Columbia’s women’s golf program in 2021-22. The former Oklahoma State Head Women’s Golf Coach and Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator, Weeks joined the Columbia women’s golf program as a volunteer assistant coach in October of 2011 and was later named Head Women’s Golf Coach in August 2014.

In 2019-20, Columbia accumulated a school-best 302.5 stroke average (10 rounds) before play was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Alexis Florio (74.80), Christine Shao (74.90) and Jennifer Wang (75.10) led the Lions before play was suspended in late March.

LAUREN HARLING | WOMEN’S HEAD COACH | YALE

Lauren Harling was hired as head coach at Yale in 2019 following a successful stint at Indiana University, where she helped lead the Hoosiers to the school’s first NCAA Championship appearance since 2007.

Harling also serves as a member of the Yale Athletics Employee Affinity Groups Subcommittee.

She spent eight seasons on the staff at Indiana and was promoted to associate head coach in July of 2017. During her tenure, the Hoosiers made three appearances in the NCAA Regionals (2013, 2016, 2019). In 2019, IU finished 21st in the nation, the school’s best finish since 1998, and in 2018 Erin Harper qualified for the NCAA Championship as an individual.

Harling mentored a number of highly successful golfers. Harper graduated in 2019 with the lowest career scoring average (74.29) in school history and played on the Symetra Tour. In 2018, Mary Parsons finished with the best single-season stroke average (73.31) in program history. Parsons also holds the lowest 18-hole score (66) in school history. In 2016, Camille Chevalier was named second team All-Big Ten and earned WGCA All-American Scholar accolades. She went on to the Ladies’ European Tour where she was named the 2017 Rookie of the Year. In addition, Harling helped Elizabeth Tong to a pair of NCAA appearances and first team All-Big Ten honors in 2015, the first IU golfer on the first team since 2006. Tong went on to play professionally on the Symetra Tour.

Harling is a member of Women Leaders in College Sports, Alliance of Women Coaches, and the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. She graduated from the NCAA Women’s Coaches Academy in 2016. Prior to joining the coaching staff at IU, Harling spent one year as Director of College Placement for Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy on Hilton Head Island, S.C. She also served as an instructor at Hank Haney IJGA from June 2009 through July 2010.

ALEX KIRK | WOMEN’S HEAD COACH | DARTMOUTH

Alex Kirk completed his seventh season as the head women’s golf coach at Dartmouth in 2018-19. The head golf pro at the Hanover Country Club was appointed the Carolyn A. Pelzel ’54a Head Coach of Women’s Golf in July of 2012.

The 2018-19 season was certainly eventful for Kirk throughout the year, most importantly guiding his women’s squad to a second-place finish at the Ivy League Championship, a mere six strokes back for the best showing ever by the Big Green. Kaitlyn Lees placed third overall as a freshman to earn a spot on the All-Ivy League First Team, while Maddie Nelson tied for eighth to make the second team. Dartmouth also took third in the 15-team field at its home invitational to start the fall, plus claimed fourth out of 12 at the Brown Invitational.
