A four-time national champion as both a player and coach, Andy Walker was named Men's Head Coach at Eastern Michigan in June 2024. He won the 1997 NCAA National Championship at Pepperdine — where he was also a two-time All-West Coast Conference selection and WCC Individual Champion — before spending 11 years playing professionally with 28 victories across domestic and international tours. Prior to Eastern, Walker transformed VCU men's golf from a No. 187 ranking to a top-40 program in two and a half seasons, earning three consecutive Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year awards and leading the Rams to the 2024 NCAA Regionals. In his first season at EMU, the Eagles posted their lowest 54-hole score in MAC history and their best conference finish in six years.

The first full-time assistant coach in Eastern Michigan men's golf history, Ryan Yip joined the Eagles in July 2024 after five seasons as assistant coach at Kent State — where the Flashes reached a No. 28 national ranking, won three team titles, and produced eight Academic All-MAC players. A former professional with six years on the Korn Ferry Tour, Yip won the 2009 Jane Rogers Championship on PGA Tour Canada and the 2014 PGM Port Dickson Championship on the Asian Tour, and competed in three PGA Tour events including the 2013 U.S. Open. As a player at Kent State, he was a four-time All-MAC First Team selection and Co-MAC Golfer of the Year in 2005.
