Alan Bratton | Head Coach | Oklahoma St.
Under the direction of Oklahoma State head coach Alan Bratton, the Cowboy golf program has continued its proud tradition of excellence athletically and academically. Last year, OSU’s ninth under his guidance, the Cowboys won four times, bringing their total number of victories under Bratton’s watch to 40. The Pokes capped the year with their sixth consecutive NCAA Regional crown before garnering the 57th top-five showing at the NCAA Championship in program history. Additionally, Bratton’s squad grew the program’s All-American total by three with Eugenio Chacarra capturing first-team status for the second year in a row, while Aman Gupta and Brian Stark claimed third-team honors. On six occasions, Cowboys captured medalist honors as well.
GRANT ROBBINS | Head Coach | K-State
Grant Robbins, a veteran coach with over 20 years building and leading programs to postseason appearances, enters his ninth season at Kansas State in 2022-23. Robbins, whose resume includes three coach of the year honors in two conferences, guiding seven teams to NCAA play and whose Memphis team captured the 2012 Conference USA Championship, was tabbed the 13th men's golf coach at Kansas State on May 18, 2014. In eight seasons in Manhattan, K-State has produced quality performances on the course with a bright future ahead. Three of the top five team stroke averages have come in his time with the Wildcats, highlighted by the 2021-22 squad that ranks 1st at 288.24. Robbins guided that 2021-22 team to six top-five finishes and earned an NCAA Regional bid for the first team since 2009. In just Coach Robbins second season (2015-16) with the Wildcats, the team tied for seventh in school history with five top-five finishes, while K-State concluded that season tied for sixth at the Big 12 Championship for its best showing since placing fifth in 2013.
MIKE MCGRAW | Head Coach | Baylor
Three-time national champion coach Mike McGraw became Baylor's head coach on June 16, 2014. McGraw joined the Bears following one season as assistant coach at Alabama, where he helped lead the Crimson Tide to the 2014 NCAA Championship title. With eight seasons at Baylor and nine seasons at Oklahoma State, McGraw totals 15 years as a Division I head coach. McGraw has 25 years of experience coaching at the Division I level, including eight seasons as Oklahoma State men’s golf head coach, and he’s led teams to the NCAA Championship in 20 of 24 possible seasons (no championship in 2020 due to COVID-19). Nearly half of McGraw’s 24 potential championship seasons have ended with top-five finishes at the NCAA Championship, including 11 times in the top five, three times as national runner-up and three national titles. McGraw’s teams have won 48 tournament titles and advanced to 11 of 16 possible NCAA Championships in his time as a Division I men’s golf head coach. He’s coached players to 42 individual medalist honors and produced 31 All-Americans.
CHRIS PARRA | Head Coach | SMU
Jerry Pittman Head Men’s Golf Coach Chris Parra enters his fourth season (2022-23) at the helm of the SMU men's golf program and his ninth overall season on the coaching staff. Parra was named full-time head coach on April 16, 2020, after serving the 2019-20 season as interim head coach. Parra was named American Athletic Conference Head Coach of the Year for the 2021-22 season after leading the Mustangs to their second AAC title since joining the league in 2013, and 10th title in program history behind a 54-hole tournament-record performance at Southern Hills Golf Club (282-277-276, -29). In his first two seasons as head coach, Parra led the Mustangs to their two best finishes (No. 12 in 2019-20, No. 18 in 2020-21) in the Golfstat rankings since the organization began ranking teams in 1993-94. The Mustangs have won five of 24 tournaments since he took over the reins of the program, and produced nine individual tournament champions in that timespan.
JONATHAN DISMUKE | Head coach | Houston
Jonathan Dismuke enters his 14th season with the University of Houston and his 10th as director of golf for the men’s and women’s programs in 2021-22.

With the addition of the Women’s Golf program in 2013-14, he oversees both programs while continuing to serve as men’s head coach at Houston

Entering the 2022-23 season, Dismuke is the longest serving current head coach in Houston Athletics.

Chuck Winstead | Head Coach | LSU
Head Coach – 17th Season in 2021-22

Players, coaches, fans and recruits across the country recognize LSU among the premier programs in college golf as the Tigers have reached unparalleled heights in 16 seasons under head coach Chuck Winstead. While capturing the program’s fifth national championship in 2015, the Tigers advanced to the Match Play Eight in three-straight years from 2014-16, cracked the Top 10 nationally at the NCAA Championships in four of the last seven years the event has been played and advanced to the NCAA Championships eight times in the last 11 seasons since making their breakthrough in 2010.

Brad McMakin | Head coach | Arkansas
Head coach Brad McMakin has the Arkansas Razorbacks in a position to contend for a national title year-in and year-out by cultivating a team culture that has resulted in record-breaking performances on the course and in the classroom.

A highly successful coach prior to joining the Razorbacks, McMakin turned around the Arkansas program in just two years and took the team to new heights in the spring of 2009 when he led them to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships. In his 16 seasons as the head coach, McMakin’s teams have been to 14 NCAA Regionals (Note: 2020 NCAA postseason was canceled due to COVID-19) and eight NCAA Championships, while winning 30 team titles along the way, including the 2019 SEC Championship.

While his teams have shown an ability to rise to the best competition, it is McMakin’s ability to recruit and develop top-notch talent that makes him successful. Since his arrival, Arkansas has had 20 All-SEC selections, nine SEC All-Freshman selections, 21 All-American honors and 31 All-Region picks while five Razorbacks have played in seven Arnold Palmer Cups.

Jamie Bermel | Head Coach | Kansas
Preparing to enter his 11th season as the Kansas Men’s Golf Head Coach, Jamie Bermel has established the Jayhawk program as one of the premiere programs in the Midwest. Under Bermel’s leadership, the Jayhawks have qualified for six-straight NCAA Regionals, have won 16 tournaments and registered 66 Top 5 finishes. The very respected veteran coach has also led the Jayhawks to two NCAA Championships, including in his most recent season, 2021-22.

During the 21-22 season, Bermel led the Jayhawks to perhaps the most successful season in program history. The Jayhawks won five tournaments, establishing a new program record and also were ranked as high as No. 9 in the national rankings. Three individuals also earned medalist honors, winning titles at the Gopher Invitational, the Windon Memorial and the Hawkeye Invitational.

Ryan Blagg | Head coach | Louisville
Ryan Blagg, the 2017 the Assistant Coach of the Year, is in his third season as head coach of the Cardinals. Under his leadership, Blagg has maintained the Cardinals’ standing as one of the most consistent programs in the country with strong regular season showings and his ability to develop players.

In his first two seasons leading the program, Blagg has guided the Cardinals to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, which included a historic run at the NCAA Championships in 2020-21.

Under Blagg’s watch, the Cards closed the 2021-22 campaign ranked 38th in the final Golfstat rankings after narrowly missing out on another appearance at the NCAA Championships.

The 2021-22 season affirmed Louisville’s rise to the upper echelon of NCAA men’s golf as the Cardinals made their 12th appearance in the NCAA Regionals, finishing seventh overall in the Norman Regional. During the season, the Cards posted five top-five finishes, including a second at the Bank of Tennessee.

For the second-straight year, the Cardinals put a player on the All-ACC Team as Jiri Zuska earned the honor after securing four top-10 finishes and ending the season with a 71.33 stroke average, the sixth-best mark in school history.

Blagg’s first season couldn’t have gone any better as the Cardinals made an impressive run all the way to the fourth day of the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz., a feat that had happened only three times in school history.

BRIAN KORTAN | Head Coach | Texas A&M
The 2022-23 campaign marks Brian Kortan’s third season at the helm of the Texas A&M men’s golf program.

In his first two seasons as skipper, the Aggies earned two NCAA Regional bids, made an appearance at the 2022 NCAA Championship and advanced to the SEC Championship semifinal round twice. He has also guided the Maroon & White to five tournament titles over the span.

Kortan guided the Aggies to three tournament victories in 2021-22, including the Marquette Intercollegiate, Louisiana Classics and the Aggie Invitational. The Maroon & White was also runner-up at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.

BILL ALLCORN | ASST. COACH | UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA
Bill Allcorn is set to enter his sixth year at Oklahoma in 2022-23. The first five years of his tenure with the Sooners were as an assistant coach before being promoted to associate head coach in 2022.

The 2021 Jan Strickland National Assistant Coach of the Year, Allcorn has helped oversee Oklahoma cement itself atop collegiate golf.
In his first year with the Sooners, Allcorn helped OU reach the match-play quarterfinals at the 2018 NCAA Championships.

The team also claimed the 2018 Big 12 Championship and won four regular-season team titles, the program’s most in one year since 1989.

College Golf Experience is committed to creating unique and transformational opportunities for junior golfers to connect with college coaches and learn about the college golf recruiting process. Our camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number of participants, gender, and age.
