Who should attend these camps?

Academic Series Camps are designed for junior golfers ages 12–18 who are serious about academics, improving their game, learning more about college golf.

Most players who attend compete in junior tournaments and are interested in understanding what college golf programs expect from players at the next level. The camps provide opportunities to work directly with College Coaches while gaining insight into the structure and expectations of college golf.

Players should be comfortable participating in practice sessions and on-course play with coaches and other competitive junior golfers.

Is my player good enough to attend?

There is no minimum handicap requirement to attend a College Golf Experience camp.

Most participants compete in junior tournaments and are motivated to improve their game while learning more about the college golf landscape. Players should be comfortable playing competitive golf and participating in instruction and on-course sessions with College Coaches.

If a player is curious about college golf and eager to learn from coaches, they will benefit from the experience.

Will my player get direct interaction with the College Coaches?

Yes. College Golf Experience camps are structured around meaningful interaction with College Coaches.

Players work directly with coaches throughout the day during:

  • Skill stations (short game, putting, and range work)
  • On-course feedback and insights
  • Small-group instruction
  • Coach seminars and Q&A sessions

With an 8:1 player-to-coach ratio, players spend significant time engaging with the coaches leading the camp.

What does a typical camp schedule look like?

While schedules vary slightly by event, most College Golf Experience camps include:

  • Registration and introductions
  • College Golf Seminar
  • College-style practice sessions and skill stations
  • Lunch with College Coaches
  • Recruiting Process Seminar
  • On-course practice rounds with coach interaction
  • Parent-Only Q&A discussions with coaches

The day is designed to combine instruction, on-course learning, and conversation with College Coaches.

Are parents allowed to attend?

Yes. Parents are welcome to attend and observe throughout the camp.

The camps also include opportunities for parents to hear directly from College Coaches during seminar sessions or Q&A discussions. These conversations help families better understand college golf expectations, player development, and the college golf landscape.

What can players expect to gain from attending?

Players leave with a clearer understanding of how college golf programs operate and what College Coaches look for in developing players.

Throughout the camp, players receive feedback, instruction, and insight from College Coaches while experiencing elements of a college-style practice and competition environment.

Families also find that the camp provides helpful clarity about the college golf journey and what steps players can take to continue improving.

Can players attend multiple camps?

Yes. Many players attend multiple College Golf Experience camps throughout the year.

Each camp features a different group of College Coaches, which allows players to gain insight from a variety of programs, coaching styles, and perspectives within college golf.

What happens if my player can’t attend after registering?

If plans change, families may have options depending on timing and availability.

These may include:

  • Optional Purchase Protection selected during registration
  • Credit eligibility within the cancellation window

Specific policies and deadlines are outlined during the registration process.

What is Purchase Protection?

Purchase Protection is an optional add-on available during registration.

If selected, it allows families to request a refund if a player cannot attend due to qualifying circumstances such as illness, injury, or certain travel disruptions.

Can a player communicate with College Coaches at Golf Camps before the June 15 deadline?

Yes. Golf Camps are the only place for junior golfers and their families to communicate with College Coaches before June 15 of a player’s sophomore year and throughout the college search process. Camps are also one of the only places you can receive college coaching during this time.
