Alyssa Waite | Head Women's Golf Coach | Long Beach State
Alyssa Waite enters her second season as the head coach of Long Beach State Women’s Golf after being named the ninth head coach of the program in July 2021.
In her first season as head coach, Waite guided a young program with no seniors to a fourth-place finish in the Big West Championship, while sophomore Hannah Ko earned All-Big West honors after finishing in the Top 10.
The position is the first head coaching position for Waite, who has a wealth of experience as an assistant coach on the West Coast, spending three years at San Diego State after a stint on the coaching staff at Portland State.
Waite spent three seasons at San Diego State, where she played a critical role in recruitment, logistics and day-to-day coaching with the Aztecs. In her first season with San Diego State the Aztecs won the Mountain West Championship before finishing as the runners-up last season, and in both years SDSU reached the NCAA Regionals, earning an at-large selection in 2021.
